Is low white blood cell count related to WLS?

I have an appt. Thurs with a Hemotologist to investigate why I have a low white blood cell count. It has gone as low as 2.8 which is very low. I am 15 mos post-op and have lost 120 lbs. (reaching my goal weight). If he attributes it to the RNY should I just go along, or say keep checking? Thanks for any replies.
