When you drink liquid does it feel you up?

I have noticed that sometime when I drink water or anything I often feel very full. Does liquid pass right through your pouch or does it fill you up? I have been told both, but it has just started feeling that way. Can it strecth out your pouch? Thanks in advance for all of your answers.
