Has anyone had a sleeping pill's affect be more dramatic than before sugery?

Has anyone had a sleeping pill's affect be more dramatic than before sugery? I get literally "DRUNK" on them. I never had this problem before. I am an RN and understand the pharmacology...but since us "losers" had our piping rerouted, we r a different bumch. Just curious...thanks
