I was told I had sever reflux before surgery, but never had symptoms...

But now, 4.5 months post op, I am having severe burning in my throat and esophagus all the time. I've made an appt with my surgeon for Monday, but I can hardly eat or drink anything without the severe burning. I'm even having trouble forcing water down. I eating tums like crazy, and considering buying some OTC reflux meds. Anyone else suffer with this post op?
