For those of you who follow Atkins or similar diets postop, do you disregard fat?

I haven't read any books, I've just been looking online and reading articles on Atkins.com, but it all says don't try to do it and still eat lowfat, because that will stunt your weightloss. Do y'all follow it and not worry about the high fat content in some of the foods and recipes suggested? I'm trying to watch carbs while not going overboard on fat, but I'm confused. Hellppp!
