This is not a question but a statement.

I had my surgey in June of 2002 and have not regreted it for one minute but I wish I would have had a bone density test prior to having the surgery. I have never been big on milk or take calcium and now I wish I had. I just had a bone density test and I am very thin on bone mass. Now I have to take a Rx and increase my calcium to 2400 mg of calcium and 400 units of vit D. Daily....... So if you have any douths about your bone density I would suggest having a test done before the WLS. (if already had surgery have it also tested for future referance) If I would have known I might have taken care of the problem before surgery. Cause I have been in alot of pain (bone acking in hips and back, wrists) since surgery. Just a thought and suggestion. Take care.
