Has anyone had problems with gallbladder surgery?

I just found out that I have gallstones (1 1/2 yrs post op) and was wondering if anyone had any problems have a lap operation? My dr says it may be a problem due to adhesions and scar tissue and may turn into major surgery. How did you do with this surgery post op??
