Can I still take my hormones

I'm 5 days post-op Lap-RNY - doing great so far... feeling a little weak but nothing too bad -- I've lost 15 pounds so far so I'm excited.. My question is can I take my hormone pills(Estradial 2 mg daily) or has anyone heard of a Hormone Cream which is compounded by the pharmasicist -- I have script for it and used it in the past - and it was wonderful - however it contains Testerone, Pregrestrin(sp?) and Estrogen - since pills aren't absorbed totally in the new pouch and might even harm it -- what do you think about the creams - which are totally absorbed into the skin????
