Does the Distal Roux-en-Y cause bad odor BMs, more BMs and bad odor gas?

I would like to know the real experiences with the DISTAL ROUX-EN-Y. My doctor is recommending distal instead of proximal, but I don't want to suffer from the bad smelling gas and bm's. Please let me know what you've heard or what your experience is. Thanks so much!!!
