Blue Cross California Care--Medical Groups

Has anyone been successful in obtaining an authorization from either Affiliated Private Practice Medical Group or Medical Pathways in order to get the authorization to see a general surgeon & any advice on how you accomplished that? Any other advice or comments re: Blue Cross California Care & the medical group procedure would be appreciated..
