Embarassing, but going to ask it anyways; protein shakes & foodstamps

This question is kind of embarassing, but I'm going to ask it anyways. Is there anyone in the state of Illinois who can tell me if you can purchase protein powders, shakes, or drinks with foodstamps (the link card)? I am recently unemployed & had to sign up for public assistance & unemployment until I can get back on my feet, and I would really like to keep up with nutritional intake, but obviously it's more expensive than I can afford right now with my limited finances? So if anyone from Illinois or any other state for that matter can answer this question for me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. And happy losing! Rochelle
