Ok, with the permission of my surgeon I drank alcohol for the first time,

I've done lots of research on this topic, not that I am a heavy drinker (barely do it at all!) But just out of curiousity I have read up on all the affects. So anyway I turned 26 and decided to have a little party got some vodka and cranberry juice and really expected to be drunk within 1 hour, however I drank 3 glasses without any signs of a buzz whatsoever!! So I gave up and went to bed, now everyone I have encountered on this sight says alcohol affects them so quickly now, could there be something wrong with my surgery, I also notice I am eating more than most on the sight and losing less!! Anywhere else experience this? Thank You
