Anyone had lipo and then a minimal scar arm lift.
Okay, I have read somewhere that there are surgeons having success with doing a more minimal incision arm lift if they go in and do liposuction on the arms and then wait a few months and do most of the incision in the arm pit, sort of a T that only goes 3 or 4 inches down the arm. I know this only works on those who have less extra skin. I am thinking about getting my PS to try it on me. has anyone done it this way? I am getting my RNY scar revised and my PS is going to tighten up my loose skin on the upper part of my tummy by doing it. Of course the scar has enough issues that the insurance company is paying for the removal. I had a full abdominoplasty, but I didn't do the anchor only the hip to hip (actually looks like a curvy W). But I have lost a little more weight and would just like it to be a little tighter, especially above the belly button. Under the belly button is tight and firm. Anyway, I think it would be fairly cheap to get him to do lipo on my arms at the same time and then wait until the end of summer to do the skin removal. I would like to hear any thoughts. I am a bad scarrer and am afraid what my arms will look like with the normal incision. I don't have a lot of extra skin, just enough that it really bothers me. And the worst of it is close to my armpit. Also, would just doing the lipo put me compression garmets all summer? Cindy
