Im 3 weeks out with a terrible cold.. 2nd one since surgery.. any help??

Heya all.. i have a horrible cold.. running a mild temp.. but i cough so hard it makes me vomit.. im nausous.. my nose is running constantly.. and i just feel horrible.. i havent been able to eat anything for about 3 days now.. im even having a hard time drinking my water.. im getting maybe 12 oz a day in.. i tried warm broth..made me sick .. even water is making me sick.. i am taking tylenol cold and diebetic cough syrup..it seems to be doing no good at all.. any suggestions would really help.. i am going to the doc on mon.. but.. id like to start feeling better as soon as possible.. thanks...
