I am 6 weeks post op and having severe stomach gas, preventing me from eating.

I am only able to eat a few bites of food before the gas starts pushing it back up my throat. I have taken every prescription and every pill on the market for this problem. Can anyone tell me if this will subside in time or does the doctor have my band too tight?
