Has anyone else had keloiding of your WLS scar?

My pcp looked at my scar from open rny--10/16/01. The scar is starting to form a very red slightly raised scar tissue. He recommended a dermatologist that will inject something into it to keep it from raising. Has anyone ever had this? What does it do for you? Do the shots hurt? Thanks for any input. I have been using Mederma and it seems to make my scar sore! I have used vit e ointment each night and that seems to help most. I have tried to find SCARGO and can't find it anywhere. If you have had the shots into the scar, please help. How many injections did you have to have?
