Anyone have pain/discomfort taking the medications for H-Pylori?

I was diagnosed with H-Pylori when I had my bloodwork done. I had been haviing intermittent vomiting in the morning for years, but blamed it on the fact that my gallbladder had been removed 10 yrs prior and that I had probably eaten to much fatty food the day before or if I had eaten just before going to bed I would vomit. Well since I started the medication I have had some pain/discomfort in my stomach & abdominal area. Is this common because the medicine is fighting the parasite or what?
