Tylenol never seems to work for me, any suggestions?

Tylenol and even Tylenol 3 has never seemed to work for me for pain relief of any kind. Ibuprofin is my best friend. An ache or pain of any kind, pop some ibuprofen and its gone. Any one have suggestions for pain relievers that work as well as ibuprofen but are safe for our new tummies?
