Am I hurting myself by swallowing the big Calc Cit + D pills?

I am 1 month post op, and when starting the Calc Cit + D I tried crushing (oh lordy what a terrible taste) and got brave one day and tried to swallow one and it went down fine, so for the last few days I've been swallowing them. Will this hurt me? Sorry for a silly q.
