Is there a chance that the Dr. can find out I went to Dr. for WLS?

I dont want to tell the insurance company that I went to a WLS Dr. a year ago, because of an pre-existing clause..Can they find out?? the insurance was with bc/bs of MS. Now with BC/BS of GA>>help!!
