could a hernia that protrude out like the size of a grrapefruit have weight up to 5

I have a constant grapefruit size protrusion on the left side of my stomach which is an apron. I am in need of hernia repair but I am trying to have a TT along with it. I am told the TT is cosmetic and the hernia repair is a legitimate insurance covered action but I need the TT as well because of the hanging skin. I am still trying to work with my PCP to have it done. Pray that we are successful.
