Sudden increase in vomiting and some tenderness near incision -- what's up?

I am 3.5 months out and have had a remarkably smooth recovery. I of course have had the typical vomiting if I ate too quickly or didn't chew well enough, but that has subsided the further out I've become. Starting last Fri. night, I have begun to vomit after eating again. Yesterday and today, I vomited several times over the course of 3-4 hours after a meal. I haven't eaten anything new, and I didn't eat quickly or too much (actually, I felt sick after only a few bites). Last night I was able to eat some dinner ok. I can keep fluids down, too, although at this point my tummy just feels yucky. Today the pain and vomiting lasted 3 hours after a few bites of lunch. I also have noticed a pain and tenderness on the right side of my insicion. It hurts when I breath deeply, stretch, or touch it, though not an excrutiating pain at all. More of like a bruise. And I swear that the right side of my stomach is slightly larger than the left. I have been lifting weights frequently lately. Can a hernia make you vomit? Does it sound like a stricture? Or just like normal post-op fluctuations? My surgeon wants an upper GI, which will be tomorrow or next week. Maybe I'm just a big baby. I just wanted to know if anyone else has been through something similar. I read the responses in the library, but none seemed exactly like my situation. Thank you.
