Has anyone had excess saliva since their surgery?

I am 4wks post op and I see where this question has been asked in many different contexts before but the answers are so confusing. I have excess saliva all the time not just after I eat or drink. I wake up with a soar throat. I have a film on my tongue that only comes off partially with brushing. Sometimes it makes me gag and I spit up alot of saliva. Nothing else just spit. No fever. This also come out of my nose. Gross huh? Anyone else with this problem?
