Was Your Revision Worth It?
I had my first RNY on 9/19/01 and had some non related complications and had a revision on 1/17/03. I had gained about 15 pounds a few weeks before my revision due to being swollen, but I lost that right of the bat in the hospital. But I have lost nothing since!!! I went thru the entire surgery again, my Doctor says my pouch is smaller and I have more bypassed, but I feel as if I had nothing done!!! I know I can eat less, but I still feel like I can eat way to much to have had a revision. What is going on? Did I got thru this for nothing? I would have been fine the size I am if I had not gone thru the RNY again, but I did and I want results! Am I silly to feel this way? For those of you that had to have revisions this early out from your first surgery, and with almost all of your weight lost, did you loose anymore? Or were you stuck like I am? I have not lost a pound since I got out of the hospital.
