Any ideas on reviving a numb behind?

Hi. I am 15 days post op and the major problem I have is that my behind has been numb (from sitting and laying down) since the surgury. At the hospital it was unbearable. Now I can lay on my left side in bed, so that helps a little, but my butt is still numb, especially near the (forgive me) butt crack. Cold compresses help a little, but everyday I struggle. Any ideas. Albert
