Has anyone living in PA with Keystone Health Plan POS successfully had WLS?
My primary care physcian recently submitted my letter of Medical Necessity to Keystone. I just don't know what to expect, will this be a battle, or will it run smoothly? I know that everyones experience may be a little different. But I just wanted to get a general idea. Also is it ABSOLUTELY neccessary that I have Physcian supervised diets documented. I am currently 280lbs. and I stand 5' 7". And the last time that my diets were medically supervised was in the early 90's. That was when I still had medical insurance. But I always tried several other diets on my own, unsuccessfully. My current PCP said that it shouldn't be much of a problem, that I should be ok because in my case it is medically neccessary. Does anyone out here have any advice for me, or would like to share thier experiences with Keystone POS with me?
