Ok.......Why wouldn't I want the BPD/DS?????

I am Self pay and while saving I have been researching for months....I had decided on a surgeon, on the RNY LAP etc,etc,etc....then...I started looking at the BPD/DS..I need all your opinions as to why I WOULDN'T WANT THE BPD/DS.....
