Do I need a letter from my PCP for TT?

Aetna has contacted my surgeon for more information before they approve my abdominoplasty. They want documentation from my PCP concerning the rashes, length of treatment and type of treatment. My question is this: should I ask my PCP to write me a letter along with his office notes? If so, does anyone have a copy of a letter from you PCP to surgeon or insurance company requesting TT? Thanks a bunch -
