i seem to be hungry by 3 hours after eatin

doesnt seem to mater what i eat i am hungry about 3 hours after. i am loseing fine,275/185/90, had surgery nov.6 2002 so i am alittle over 5 months, i cant eat very much at any time but i do have to eat about every 3 hours or it gets right down painful. now for the 64,000 question. IS THIS NORMAL. and yes i know you guys hear that every day and i am sorry but needed to find out, thank you in advance
