Is Heparin causing me to bleed so much?

I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and I was bit by a bug on the shoulder about a week after surgery and everytime I accidentally hit the scab off, it bleeds profusely!! Is this because of the heparin shots that I received? And should it still be taking affect like this, 2 weeks after surgery? It really bleeds bad, drips real dark and heavy down my chest before I can even get a tissue to stop it. Please help, I am a little concerned about this!!
