Should I send in my request now?

Ok folks I am getting ready to fax my doctors request in for my WLS. I had posted before and received one answer back just wanted to make sure I am doing the right thing. My husbands insurance started 12/19/03 I have been fighting to have this surgery done sence 1999 but I know this insurance will cover the surgery. I just don't want to send in a request to early and get turned down or if they can, refuse to cover him through his work . I am just scared of messing up and need to know if I am doing the right thing. Thanks Dana
