How long does the pain last?

I just had my gallbladder removed laporoscopically (on Thursday) and while they removed it, they found out I had hernia, so they reapaired that as well. I am in so much pain, it's unbearable. Much more than when I had my LAP RNY in 9/02. Has anyone been through a hernia repair? And how long did the pain last? When were you able to walk, drive, exercise again? Right now it hurts to cough, move, etc...I don't know what to do, it's horrible.
