Has anyone out there lost someone close to them who died after having weight loss surgery?

Tomorrow, March 4th, is one year since my best friend, Ginger Brewster, died from complications 19 days after her weight loss surgery. She is on the memorial page of this website. I miss her very much and its been very difficult for me. Has anyone out there lost someone close to them who died after having weight loss surgery? I'd love to hear how other people cope with such a loss. I need all the support I can get. Thanks so much.
