Can I be denied

I had a Thyroidectomy in 98 and now I am Hypothyroid. We know that is why I have gained so much weight. But can I be denied because I have thyroid problems. I am really going crazy about everything that could cause me to be denied, but this is the question that has not been put to rest, you could say.
