Any suggestions for pre-op? I have 3 months to prepare.

My hair is almost waist long, medium thickness. Is there any thing I can do to prepare my hair before surgery to make it in the best condition possible. I do not really want to cut it yet but plan to after I get to my goal as a added bonus on the new me!
