Pain relief and recovery in Panniculectomy Abdominoplasty Surgery

I have lost over 150 lbs and I am scheduled for my Panniculectomy Abdominoplasty Surgery the first week in April '01. I am very anxious and scared and would like to hear from those who had this Plastic Surgery. I have heard much about it being more painful than RNY, especially since I had the LAP, also their is a greater risk for infection and even death. Can someone please share their information and or experience? How long was the recovery period and how long before you can lift even a small child? I would appreciate any and all answers.
