I changed insurance companies and now faced with denial. What do I do?

I had Cinga insurance before company switching insurance. Cigna declared that wls had to be medically necessary. After I had gathered all my info and had all the tests complete, my father (whom I am on his plan) switched jobs and insurance companies. Fortis Health does not cover any medical weightloss procedures at all. I found that out after I sent this in. My father switches jobs quite a bit in his professional field. Should I wait or try to fight Fortis? Any info would be helpful.
