Can we digest breath / mint assure

I am so tired of having the metal taste in my mouth, which my dear husband assures me is accompanied by bad breath. Is it possible to digest the little breath assure pills? I thought they were wonderful pre-op and have no idea if I could still benefit from them. I would love to hear from those of you who have been through this. From your postings, I can assume that I will not have this condition forever. In the meantime, I am looking for ANYTHING that can help get rid of this metal mouth. Thanks. Rene OPEN RNY 6/30/03
