question for the ladies??Can I use the pill to stop my period

coming on? I was planning on going away this weekend and do now want my period to be on. I have not taken the pill since a month before my surgery because of the clotting factor, I saw some spotting and popped three white pills(the ones when u start a new pack)The doc has done that to me before to stop my heavy and prolonged bleeding-will this stop it from coming and should I not have done that or is it ok???
