Has anyone been approved by Great West Life & Annuity without physician's docs?

I haven't been seen by a doctor to loose weight since the 80's. I have tried plenty of diets but none through the doctor recently because of the unpleasant experiences I had with diet pills. Has anyone had similar circumstances and still got approval from Great West PHCS?
