Has any one ever worked with blue cross blue shield of MA?

I spoke with the doctors office and they said that my insurance company is one of the best to work with. My human resources office also told me that this was the best insurance offered in the state. Has anyone had any experiences with this plan? I called the number on the back of the card and they said the usual " BMI over 40, 100 pounds over ideal weight, letter of medical necessity from pcp and other attemps failed" what evactly are other attemps failed? I have tried about 10 diferent diets but none of them were medically supervised. would that be a problem?
