Sept 2009 - BK amputee having surgery and would like to discuss with post-op amputees

I have several concerns about being an amputee and having surgery. I would love to have discussions with post-op amps about their experiences and difficulties/successes. What special conditions did you have to deal with, particularly relating to exercise, etc. Was there any special support for amps? The discussion could cover much territory including prosthetics and costs.
