Zinc And Horrible stomache pain

Is Zinc suppose to cause bad stomache pain? Is there acertain type we are suppose to be taking? I take Zinc 50 mg. I take it with calcium, magnesium. I do not take it everyday because it gives me a horrible ache in stomache, also nauseated. I had RNY on Sep 18 2007. I have been doing great. Except for the zinc. Am I doing something wrong?
