Proteinuria????? Can anyone help??????

Hi all, I went to my Dr's Office today and he said my urine test shows I suffer from Proteinuria, I am scheduled for an ultrasound of my kidney ans I'm scheduled to see (nephrology) he said it is because of my weight and since am in the group of hispanic/latinos I am at a higher risk.....I've never heard of that and I was reading uo on it and it scared me, (since it's kidney failure) this is just another thing to add to my health issues. My question is has anyone heard of this? Is this considered a comorb?. And what is end-stage renal disease?
