Has anybody with insurance had lapband and then had bypass???

I had lapband October 2010 and have only lost 20 pounds because I am constantly loosing and gaining. I am thinking of having bypass but don't know what my insurance will say I have bluecross. Has anybody done this and had a problem with their insurance and were you glad you did the bypass!!!
