Tricare patients in Tampa, FL or theTricare South Region, can you give me specifics?

I have read many Tricare q&a's. However, most of the information is old(er), and polices seem to change quite frequently. I have read that some people were asked to do the 6 month pre-op diet. I am just curious if this is still applicable. I spoke with Tricare, my PCP, and a possible surgeon's office and all say it's not required. I just wanted to hear from recent patients to get the most updated information possible. Also,ANY other tips you guys can give me from your experience would be great. Even if you just give me your profile I can read over your personal experience to get an idea of what I can expect. Thanks!
