Surviving the Pre-op no carb diet....HELP ME PLEASE

I love carbs...its an obsession and unfortunately I haven't found a Carbohydrate Lovers Anonymous Group locally. I'd love tips on how you survived this portion of the Pre-Op procedures. My friends and family are especially concerned for their well being during this portion of the surgery. Thanks!!!
