Breastfeeding after Lap RNY ?

My son is four years old today, 11/22/07. I am scheduled for a lap RNY on 11/30/07. I would like to continue breastfeeding upon return from the hospital. He nurses out of routine and not for nurishment, he eats solids of all types. Any advice from someone experianced in such matters?
