What should I expect...

I have United Health care and upon calling them in early May, I found out that they do not require alot of testing just previous diets, doc recommendation, letters of understanding the risks, etc. I recently found out after submitting all the paperwork to them they are requireing a H pylori test, endocrine workup, alcohol and drug screen, Psych eval, dietary consult, and cardio puliminary eval. 1) Why wasn't I told this when I called the first time?..I'm only 25 and even the surgeons office said it was weird for them to ask for all this. 2) I've tried to look up all these test and can't find a whole lot of info on what they are, what they are for, and how they test for it. Does anyone have any info on what all this stuff is? Thanks for your help
