Should I get a scope?

I am almost 4 years post op. I have been having problems with constipation for the past few weeks. It worries me because it just kinda started all of the sudden. I never really feel "emptied out" and my upper abdomen fells a little bloated, no pain though. I went to my Dr., and he said to take Colace, but I seamed fine to him. He said if I'm worried about it, I could have a scope done if I wanted to. I am still the same after taking Colace. It makes me wonder if I could have a partial bowel blockage or something? Should I get a scope done? I'm scared of getting a scope because of all the complications I had from the initial surgery. Any Ideas? Also, about what is the cost of a scope? Thanks.
